SJKSJK, I know what you mean about giving a tangible gift to someone instead of a gift card. You can always ask the individual what they want -- which may ruin the surprise. Most people would rather get a gift they can use. One other thing you can do is, purchase a gift and get a gift receipt and give it to the person. Gift giving can be challenging in itself.
